We are delighted to welcome two new volunteers to our small but hard-working team – Sue Baker to join Janet and Vivienne in our office team and Frank to join our team of volunteer drivers.

We would also like to welcome John Bridger, to work with Kevin Parry in a shared coordinator role, keeping the vehicles in good order and providing some of the driving for our members’ trips out.
We are delighted to have been able to work with Natural England to provide a minibus shuttle service to and from the nature reserve during the Wye Festival in the summer. We look forward to working with them in the future, to provide transport to the two National Nature Reserves they manage at Stodmarsh and Wye. Indeed, funding is available to cover transport costs for such visits – see their advertisement below and contact Natural England for details.

We have had some lovely feedback from our members, about the service provided by the Wealden Wheels team and we would like to thank those who have taken the time to give us this  feedback and send photos of their trips out. A couple of examples:

“Shadoxhurst Darby & Joan would like to thank you at Wealden Wheels for taking us on our outings the last one being to Hole park, we have a lady which is confined to a wheelchair, so we are grateful to be able to hire your minibus as you have the facilities for this and she is able to come with us when we go out. We have found all the drivers very friendly and helpful. One lady remarked to me “isn’t he a nice man?”
