Membership

We are not a Bus or Taxi Service - our vehicles are only available for hire to members. However, we have tried to make Membership both affordable and accessible.

Families, groups or organisations based in or around our villages pay a modest joining fee of £10 for 12 months' membership. For this they can hire one or more of the vehicles on a self drive basis or (for a slightly higher charge) with a volunteer driver.

Hire charges are based on mileage driven, though a total fee can be agreed up front if required for group budgeting purposes once the route and destination are known. A typical self drive hire would cost from only £1/ mile, inclusive of insurance and fuel, representing less than 10p person per mile for the larger vehicles. We like to believe that this represents very good value to our community.

We aim to ensure that our villagers will always receive efficient, friendly and courteous service and will be delivered to their destinations safely and comfortably every time. Our volunteer drivers are KCC minibus driver trained and CRB checked, and many of them have also been awarded a St. John Ambulance certificate for First Aid.
