Our Vehicles

We operate 3 differently sized vehicles, the smallest and largest of which have been specially modified for wheelchair/disabled access.

 

  1. “Mollie”, a custom-built Vauxhall Movano, has 15 seats & a tailgate lift for wheelchair access. Removable seats allow carriage of 3 wheelchair-bound passengers or folded wheelchairs.

  2. “Millie”, a Ford Tourneo, has 9 seats. Removable seats again permit flexible options for additional space.

  3. “Mo”, a VW Caddy, which is owned by East Kent Strokes, our partner organisation, but managed by Wealden Wheels. Mo seats 6 passengers plus driver, with wheelchair or disabled scooter access via a rear ramp. This vehicle is available to hire to our members when East Kent Strokes do not require it.
    4. Mo Mo Mo

If you are planning a trip you can either drive one of our vehicles yourself (we will need to check and take a copy of your driving license for insurance purposes) or you may consider, for a slightly higher rental, using one of our team of volunteer drivers. Vehicles can be hired for part of a day, a whole day or several days, subject to availability. Hire charges are calculated on a per mile basis, from our base in Pluckley.
